Enrollment
CSD serves students from pre-school to 12th grade.  Enrollment is approximately 450 students.  Our students come from as far north as the California border and as far south as San Luis Obispo.

Location
CSD is a 91-acre campus located in Fremont.  The Fremont community supports our deaf community in a variety of  ways.  Fremont has a population of 212,000 and is located 20 miles north of San Jose and 40 miles south of San Francisco.  CSD has 35 buildings which includes 15 cottages.

Housing
60% of enrolled students live on campus in cottages which house 20-24 students.

CSD has full-time supervising counselors, counselors, and night attendants to ensure a comprehensive program for students after school.

Student Health Unit
CSD’s Student Health Unit provides health care for students. A part-time physician and full-time nurses staff the facility.  The health center is open when students are here with 24 hour emergency services.  The center also contains a 6 bed in-patient care facility.
